New-build case study
Plettac system access and an Altrix temporary roof supporting a timber-frame housing development in Sheffield.
Project overview
Veritas delivered the scaffolding package for a Sheffield timber-frame development of around eight blocks, with 12 homes in each block. The same contract combined Plettac system scaffolding for construction access with an Altrix temporary roof for weather protection.
Around eight separate timber-frame blocks formed the wider Sheffield housing project, with 12 homes contained within each block.
Plettac system scaffolding provided structured working access around the blocks as the timber-frame buildings progressed.
An Altrix temporary roof formed part of the same contract, protecting the timber-frame construction from the weather.
Contract delivery
A system-scaffold solution suited to the repeated elevations and working lifts across the housing blocks.
Access was arranged around the developing timber structures and the workfaces required by the construction teams.
The temporary-roof structure created covered working space above the block.
The contract covered around eight blocks rather than a single isolated building.
Project photography
The scaffold followed the developing timber-frame elevations and provided working lifts around the new-build structures.

The Altrix temporary roof protected the timber-frame construction while maintaining working space and access beneath it.

What this demonstrates
The Sheffield project brought repeated new-build access and specialist weather protection together within one contract, demonstrating delivery across multiple timber-frame blocks.
